DAY 1: ARRIVE IN SAN JOSE 

Arrive at the San Jose International Airport. Upon clearing immigration and customs, exit the airport and meet your driver who will be waiting for you. Board the van for the 20 minute drive to San Jose. Check-in to a Room -standard room at KC SAN JOSE HOTEL.

DAY 3: TORTUGUERO (NORTH CARIBBEAN)

Early morning pick up at hotel for ground and boat transportation to LAGUNA LODGE, located in the midst of Tortuguero National Park, a tropical rainforest, and a navigable network of lakes and channels that crosses the area from southeast to the northwest.  This allows a great diversity of fauna and flora of the region to be observed close at hand.  Additionally, it is the most important nesting site in the western half of the Caribbean for the Green Turtle. The tour to see the Green Sea Turtles laying eggs at night is only possible during the months from July to October. (B) (L) (D).

DAY 5: TORTUGUERO/ARENAL VOLCANO

After breakfast, return to the dock. From here we will continue by bus until reaching a local restaurant for lunch. At this place you will be provided a shuttle bus transfer to the Arenal volcano. Overnight at PRADERA HOTEL. (B) (L).

DAY 7: ARENAL VOLCANO / GUANACASTE 

Breakfast at your hotel, 8.30 hrs. Pick up at your hotel for drive from Arenal to the Northern Pacific; we will enjoy a beautiful trip to the warm climate of the Tropical.

The main attraction of Guanacaste is its beautiful beaches and hot climate. For this reason, we recommend our customers to visiting Guanacaste. Overnight at SUGAR BEACH HOTEL (B)

DAY 9.  GUANACASTE  – SAN JOSE

After a morning dip in the ocean or pool back to San Jose and transfer to KC SAN JOSE HOTEL.. (B)

DAY 2: COMBO TOUR POAS VOLCANO / DOKA COFFE TOUR & LA PAZ WATERFALL GARDENS.

We will first drive you through the city of Alajuela passing by the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the famous Mango Park.  On the way to the volcano we will visit Doka Coffee Estate for a delicious breakfast and a coffee tour, in an actual coffee plantation where we will learn about the ancient techniques used by the experts to produce one of the best coffees in Costa Rica.

After the coffee tour we will continue to Poás Volcano where we will not only admire the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, but also learn about the different ecosystems in this beautiful national park. Following the visit to the volcano we will continue to La Paz Water Fall Garden for lunch and tour. On arrival to the La Paz, we will walk through a trail that leads to a spectacular waterfall in the middle of the rainforest.   Inside the park we will also visit the largest butterfly observatory in the country, the impressive hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the bird house and the frog’s exhibit.  After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in San José.

DAY 4: TORTUGUERO (NORTH CARIBBEAN)

Early next morning, nearby howler monkeys often provide a natural alarm clock at first light, and for those interested in birds, this is the time to see many species of hummingbirds, parrots, toucans, woodpeckers, and finches that abound around the lodge.  After breakfast, board your boat with local guide for a day of tours on Tortuguero’s network of lakes and channels. DAY 6: ARENAL VOLCANO

The allowed closest point to the Arenal Volcano accessed through the Arenal Volcano National Park; undoubtedly the best way to do this is in the company of a local, naturalist and bilingual guide who is provided in this Combo Tour.

Visit the Park; contemplate its majesty from the best vantage point in the area, also, known places surrounded by old volcanic eruptions, with old lava. Finish this incredible journey relaxing in the hot Baldi.

After hiking you will enjoy Baldi Hot Springs and a delicious lunch or dinner buffet style. In this resort you will find over 30 pools, temperatures ranging from 95F to 149F slides and much more.
