DAY 1: ARRIVE IN SAN JOSE 

Arrive at the San Jose International Airport. Upon clearing immigration and customs, exit the airport and meet your driver who will be waiting for you. Board the van for the 20 minute drive to San Jose. Check-in to a Room -standard room at KC SAN JOSE HOTEL.

DAY 3: BARRA DE PACUARE (NORTH CARIBBEAN)

Early morning pick up at hotel for ground and boat transportation to LIRIO LODGE, (B) (L) (D)

Lirio Lodge is the ideal place for animals loving people, with the magnificent Laguna Madre de Dios just in front, and located in the famous Tortuguero canals.

Barra Del Pacuare is one of the most important places for the arrival of leatherback, green and hawksbill turtles

Once a year, these incredible species come to their birthplace to lay their eggs. In spawning season we can participate in the tour to go see these splendid creatures that are endangered.

In Lirio Lodge you can live the unique experience of being in a safari camp, which allows you to awaken your senses with this environment surrounded by peace and nature, where you will find a natural paradise to explore in a comfortable, safe and quiet environment.

Lirio Lodge is an Eco Tent Camp with amenities such as shared bathroom, eco-bungalows with private bathroom and hot water, restaurant on the water, hammock area, canoes, gardens, peace and nature.

Lirio Lodge is 100% sustainable and environmentally friendly, so it uses electrical energy from solar panels, the engines of our boats are fully modern and environmentally friendly.

5:45 a.m. Our Pick Ups will start by picking in the main San Jose hotels and then continue heading to the Caribbean of Costa Rica, crossing the Braulio Carrillo National Park, which is located in the Central Volcanic Cordillera which is surrounded by Poas volcanoes, Barva, Irazu and Turrialba; this park is covered 95% by rainforest.

8:20 a.m Spend time at local restaurant and enjoy a delicious costarrican breakfast, then continue the journey to the Goshen dock in Bataan.

11:45 a.m. You will be arriving to Lirio Lodge where you can admire beautiful gardens and stay in clean and comfortable eco-tents or in the 100% eco-sustainable eco-bungalows.

The place has the following facilities: Restaurant, potable water, Canoeing, Hiking and beautiful scenery, all within the majesty of the Costa Rican jungle.

You can enjoy as well of the view of the magnificent Laguna Madre de Dios. Also enjoy watching all the exotic plants and animals, such as howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, spider monkeys, sloths, crocodiles, basilisks, iguanas and a variety of birds.

12:30 p.m. Lunch, after a short rest visit to the turtle protection and conservation project and walk along the trails next to the beach.

Completed the activities return to Lirio Lodge, where you can enjoy our rest areas, read a good book, take pictures, or for the more energetics maybe some exercise with our canoes.

7:00 p.m. Enjoy a delicious dinner.

DAY 5: BARRA DE PACUARE/ARENAL VOLCANO

Optional tour: Morning tour.

7:00 a.m. Breakfast will be served.

After breakfast, 11:00 hrs. Return to the dock. From here we will continue by bus until reaching a local restaurant for lunch. At this place you will be provided a shuttle bus transfer to the Arenal volcano. Overnight at PRADERA HOTEL. (B) (L)

DAY 7: ARENAL VOLCANO / GUANACASTE

Breakfast at your hotel, 8.30 hrs. Pick up at your hotel for drive to the Northern Pacific; we will enjoy a beautiful trip to the warm climate of the Tropical.

The main attraction of Guanacaste is its beautiful beaches and hot climate. For this reason, we recommend our customers to visiting Guanacaste. Overnight at SUGAR BEACH HOTEL (B)

DAY 9.  GUANACASTE – SAN JOSE

After a morning dip in the ocean or pool back to San Jose and transfer to KC SAN JOSE HOTEL. (B)

DAY 2: COMBO TOUR POAS VOLCANO / DOKA COFFE TOUR & LA PAZ WATERFALL GARDENS.

We will first drive you through the city of Alajuela passing by the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the famous Mango Park.  On the way to the volcano we will visit Doka Coffee Estate for a delicious breakfast and a coffee tour, in an actual coffee plantation where we will learn about the ancient techniques used by the experts to produce one of the best coffees in Costa Rica.

After the coffee tour we will continue to Poás Volcano where we will not only admire the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, but also learn about the different ecosystems in this beautiful national park. Following the visit to the volcano we will continue to La Paz Water Fall Garden for lunch and tour. On arrival to the La Paz, we will walk through a trail that leads to a spectacular waterfall in the middle of the rainforest.   Inside the park we will also visit the largest butterfly observatory in the country, the impressive hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the bird house and the frog’s exhibit.  After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in San José.

DAY 4: BARRA DE PACUARE (NORTH CARIBBEAN)

Early in the morning you will be waken up by the bird’s singing; announcing the new day. With everyone up the canals tour will begin, you will be able to see and explore the lagoon and all the tropical paradise. After all the trip, you will return to Lirio Lodge where the breakfast will be ready.

9:15 a.m. You will have a trip to our trail named El Congo. The trip will be about 2 hours and in all the way our guide will provide the customers with all the information along the way.

11:45 a.m. You will go back to Lirio Lodge to rest.

12:45 p.m. The lunch will be served, after it you can explore the trails or just relax in the property.

7:00 p.m. Dinner will be served for your enjoyment.

DAY 6: ARENAL VOLCANO

The canopy tour features 11 cables and platforms, allowing you to explore the forest from unrivaled vantage points. Enjoy views of the forest, river and volcano while racing through gorgeous, primary rainforest.

15.00 hrs. Arenal Volcano Hike and Baldi Hot Springs

The allowed closest point to the Arenal Volcano accessed through the Arenal Volcano National Park; undoubtedly the best way to do this is in the company of a local, naturalist and bilingual guide who is provided in this Combo Tour.

Visit the Park; contemplate its majesty from the best vantage point in the area, also, known places surrounded by old volcanic eruptions, with old lava. Finish this incredible journey relaxing in the hot Baldi.
